June 14-18 in Northern Arizona
I drove out to Flagstaff for a few days to hike.

I was lured to cut the drive in half by overnighting in a $27 room in Laughlin NV.   Getting a bed each way was worthwhile, and I didn't spend any more money there.  I drove in  at midnight, but it was still like 94 degrees outside.

I spent a day hiking in the West Rim area at Grand Canyon.  Here I am on the trail down into the Hermit Basin.  It was a real hot day, so mostly I stayed near the rim.

Next day I climbed Mt Humphreys near Flagstaff.  It was the hottest day of the year so far, so today it was a popular hike.
